"We are in contact with the Israeli workers. We succeeded in showing them what is the Palestinian worker is like. Show them what they didn't know. What they didn't know about us because they had the impression that maybe we were terrorists, maybe we were trouble makers, maybe based on the first Intifada, or the second or the third. But they know how to deal with us and who we are."
SodaStream CEO, Daniel Birnbaum, says the factory is contributing to co-existence between Israeli and Palestinians.
SOUNDBITE: Daniel Birnbaum, SodaStream CEO, saying (English):
"This is unique in that it's located in the West Bank, in area C of the West Bank and we are able to employ people of different kinds, the Palestinians, side by side with Israeli Arabs and with Israeli Jews. They work together here, we have about 1200-1300 people working in this facility in harmony and peace and we are very proud of being able to be here and to contribute in our way to the co-existence and hopefully to the peace in this region."
